Yakov Alexandrovich Ugay

Since 1944, Yakov Alexandrovich was an assistant, associate professor, professor, head (1965-1989) of the Department of General and Inorganic Chemistry of Voronezh State University, in 1962-1965, the Department of Semiconductor Chemistry. He was a supervisor and head of the Voronezh school of inorganic chemists. Research interests: chemistry of semiconductors, fundamental materials science of micro- and nanoelectronics, processes in volume, and on the surface of semiconductors. Author of over 500 works, including books: "Introduction to the chemistry of semiconductors" (Moscow, 1965; 1975), "General Chemistry" (Moscow, 1984), "Inorganic chemistry” (Moscow, 1989), "General and inorganic chemistry" (Moscow, 1997).

In 1944 Yakov Alexandrovich graduated from the Department of Chemistry of the Kazakhstan State University (now Al-Farabi Kazakh National University) in the city of Almaty.

Career

Since 1944, Yakov Alexandrovich was an assistant, associate professor, professor, head (1965-1989) of the Department of General and Inorganic Chemistry of Voronezh State University, in 1962-1965, the Department of Semiconductor Chemistry. He was a supervisor and head of the Voronezh school of inorganic chemists.
