Yoshiyori Tokugawa

Background

Yoshiyori Tokugawa was born on November 19, 1828 Japan. He was the son of Naritada Tokugawa, of the Tayasu family. Early personal name: Sonosuke.

Career

Succeeding to the lineal house (1839), became Dainagon (vice minister). When Iemochi of Kii family succeeded to the Shogunrwte (1858), was ordered to be his guardian as he was yet young. In 1868, when Yoshinobu Tokugawa returned to Edo branded as a traitor, he devoted himself to save the Tokugawa family, and pacify Edo.
