In 1946, Zinaida Danilovna graduated from high school with a gold medal in Bryansk and in the same year she entered the philological department of the Faculty of History and Philology of Voronezh State University. Excellent study (with honors), a deep interest in scientific work led her to graduate study. Zinaida Danilovna becomes a graduate student of the Russian language department.
In the years 1957-1960 Zinaida Danilovna was a Lecturer, Associate Professor of the Russian Language Department of the Kursk State Pedagogical Institute. She has been an Associate Professor of the Russian-Slavic and General Linguistics Department of the Voronezh State University since 1960.
Zinaida Danilovna was awarded a professorship in 1972. In 1973, she headed the new department, created at the Faculty of Philology, the Department of General Linguistics and Stylistics, which, in addition to teaching traditional linguistic disciplines, was to provide a completely new direction for the department’s work in the rapidly growing number of foreign students. She was Lecturer in Russian language courses in the Polish People's Republic, Austria, German Democratic Republic, Czechoslovakia.
The main research areas: the theory of linguistics, historical and modern syntax of the Russian language, Russian and general phraseology and lexicology.
Zinaida Danilovna possessed incredible knowledge, outstanding scientific thinking and, at the same time, traditional habitudes of kindliness and courtesy, patience, scientific and human tolerance.
