Career
Kiso Kitagawa moved to Edo to succeed to the Kitagawa Family (1840) and made his home at Fukagawa. Began studying the customs and manners of ancient Kyoto, Osaka and Edo, which he recorded in a mammoth work of 35 volumes titled Morisada Manko (Stray Notes of Morisada), which was published posthumously under the title "Collection of Notes on Customs and Manners." History lost touch with him after the year 1853.
