Leonid Sviridiv graduated from the Forestry and Mechanical Department of Voronezh Forestry Engineering Institute (now Voronezh State University of Forestry and Technologies) (1975).
Career
Since 1975, an engineer, senior engineer of the research sector at the Department of Hydraulics and Energy and forestry mechanization, head of the laboratory (1976-1978), assistant, senior lecturer, associate professor, professor of the department of Mechanization Forestry and Machine Design, Dean of the Forestry and Mechanical faculty (1993-1998), vice-rector (since 1998) of Voronezh Forestry Engineering Institute (now Voronezh State University of Forestry and Technologies).
The author of more than 400 works, including books: "Sorting of forest seeds" (Voronezh, 2002); "Band saw equipment for timber" (Voronezh, 2004; together with A.I. Maksimenkov). He has 51 copyright certificates and patent for inventions.
