Tikhon Aleksandrovich Krutikov

Background

Tikhon Aleksandrovich Krutikov was born on January 27, 1867 in Russian Federation. Maternally he was the nephew of the canonized Bishop of Tambov Theophan the Recluse (1815 - 1894).

Education

Tikhon Aleksandrovich Krutikov graduated from the Oryol Theological Seminary (1884) and the Moscow Theological Academy (1888).

Career

Tikhon Aleksandrovich was a lecturer of the church history at the Voronezh Theological Seminary (1888-1897). Since 1897, he was catechist, archpriest and hegumen of the house church of a non-classical secondary school.

Tikhon Aleksandrovich was published in the magazine "Edifying Reading", "Voronezh Diocesan Statements". He wrote the following essays: "Men apostolic" (from church history readings to students of the Voronezh Seminary) (Voronezh, 1892); "The structure and value of the ancient Orthodox fraternities of Vilna and Lviv" (Voronezh, 1894).
