Graduated from the Kishinyov Conservatory (1971, a student of professor Alterman), graduate school of the State Music Institute named after the Gnesins (1978, a student of professor Gorchakov S.P.). Interned at the Moscow Conservatory (1980 – 1982, a student of professor Simonov Yu.I.).
Career
A conductor of the Kishinyov Theatre of Opera and Ballet (1978). A chief conductor of the Samarkand Theatre of Opera and Ballet (1978 – 1987), the Ufa Theatre of Opera and Ballet (1987 – 1989), the Voronezh Theatre of Opera and Ballet (since 1989).
The main performances: «Eugene Onegin”, “Dame of Spades”, “Swan Lake” by Petr Tchaikovsky; “Snow Maiden”, “The Tsar’s Bride” by Nikolai Rimsky-Korsakov; “Othello”, “Aida”, “Rigoletto”, “La Traviata” by Giuseppe Verdi; “Carmen”, “The Pearl Fishers” by Georges Bizet; “Faust” by Charles Gounod; “Pagliacci” by Ruggero Leoncavallo; “Macbeth” by Kirill Molchanov; “The Thousand and One Nights” by Fikret Amirov; “The Tale of the Stone Flower” by Sergei Prokofiev and others.
