Graduated from the Kishinyov Conservatory (1971, a student of professor Alterman), graduate school of the State Music Institute named after the Gnesins (1978, a student of professor Gorchakov S.P.). Interned at the Moscow Conservatory (1980 – 1982, a student of professor Simonov Yu.I.).
A conductor of the Kishinyov Theatre of Opera and Ballet (1978). A chief conductor of the Samarkand Theatre of Opera and Ballet (1978 – 1987), the Ufa Theatre of Opera and Ballet (1987 – 1989), the Voronezh Theatre of Opera and Ballet (since 1989).
