Fujiwara no Mototoshi

Background

Fujiwara no Mototoshi was the son of Toshinari and great grandson of Michinaga Fujiwara.

Career

He became a priest and assumed the name of Kakushun. Because he was boastful of his learning and haughty, he was disliked by people. His book on poetry, titled Etsvr mokushd, is now extinct. A similarly titled book now in circulation is by another author.
