Career
When Emperor Saimei proceeded to Muru in Kii Province (Wakayama Prefecture) to bathe in the hotsprings there, he attempted to rebel against the Emperor together with Minister Akae Soga. But the plot was exposed and he was arrested. While being taken to Muru, he was hanged at Fujishiro Path. Two of his poems are included in the Mwnydshu Anthology.
